What makes Living Lighting Etobicoke - Kingsway unique?
In their own words….
We feel it is our product selection, pricing strategy and service that set’s us apart. Being part of the Living Lighting chain allows us to be very price competitive, but as independent owners we control what we purchase, so we display unique items as well as proven sellers.
We greet every customer as they walk into our showroom. We treat every project with the care you would expect from a neighborhood boutique. When people are in the midst of a renovation project they tend to come in overwhelmed with the choices of lighting. We have the knowledge and patience to lend our expertise to each and every project - to help narrow down the choices, that reflect each customers style. We know the options available and are able put together a lighting presentation, room by room for customers working through the decision process.
We also have one staff member dedicated to merchandising our showroom. With so many new pieces constantly coming into our showroom, we rotate our displays to highlight different pieces in the vignettes. This way new and older pieces pop out to those re-visiting our showroom.
What's new in store?
Living Lighting - Kingsway always has new pieces coming into their showroom. They stagger their orders throughout the year, so that there is always something new in the showroom. Twice a year in the lighting industry - Lightovation (the fashion week of lighting) takes place. Living Lighting - Kingsway attends the show to see in person the latest styles, and visit their suppliers’ permanent showrooms. Throughout the year they bring in these new and exciting pieces so that no matter when someone is redecorating, renovating or moving, there is always something fresh and new for them to choose from.
To that end, the latest great addition to their showroom are Legrand Dimmers, switches and outlets. With everything available from soft-touch switches, to custom wall plates, to outlets with nightlight and USB cords - their new interactive display is getting a lot of attention.
Plans for the Future
Marko and Lara plan to stay in their Kingsway location and continue to grow their business. They enjoy working with individuals in the neighborhood and love repeat clients doing their homes, cottage and who bring in their kids who now have lighting needs, but they also plan to increase their clientele of designers and electricians.
The LED technology is changing at such a rapid pace, they feel the drive to help to educate all their customers on the options and benefits available. The two have hosted interior design classes in the showroom after hours to give those entering the design industry a place to learn, research and grow their business.
Lighting is an important part of the design of home, and Marko & Lara have a passion they want to share, to ensure each project that comes through their showroom is finished with the right touch.
