Pretty sure the title of this blog post is a non sequitur, but there are some awesome new teak & walnut antiques in store at Vintage Home Boutique.
Check them out below...
An exquisite Danish Modern round extending dining table in teak from the 60's. The round teak top sits securely on 2 solid teak pedestal legs. While beautiful to look at, the pedestal legs give a greater sense of openness. Due to their positioning, they also allow for more people to sit around the table. Featuring marvellous grain pattern and warm colour throughout the table, it is a great example of Danish Modern design. A solid teak band runs around the entire table and each of the leaves. The table has a thin edge top and this contributes to the table seeming more open. The generous table is perfect for up to 5 person setting without any leaves; 8 people with 1 leaf; 10 with both leaves inserted. The table opens and closes easily. The 2 drop leaves store externally. The pedestal legs easily remove for moving and storage. Single owner for the last 50+ years. A fabulous investment piece for home or equally perfect as an expanding boardroom table.
This Mid-Century Modern walnut 4 drawer tallboy dresser is just stunning. The retro lip shaped handles sit in the centre of each of the 3 generous and deep lower drawers, giving the piece a clean, streamlined, yet retro look. The top drawer has a recessed handle under the drawer front maintaining the sleek appearance. It will fit seamlessly into any decor. Sleek, space saving, due to the high, solid walnut raised legs, it will make any room seem larger. Manufactured in Collingwood, Ontario by Kaufman Furniture in the late 60's/ early 70's. All 4 drawers slide easily and have dovetails. Don’t miss your chance to own a quality Canadian Mid-Century Modern item! The grain pattern and wood colour is exceptional. A truly amazing addition for any bedroom; adding tons of storage. Or use it in a foyer and have people drool as soon as they come over.
2 stunning Danish Modern teak sideboards or media cabinets by Poul Hundevad Co. Designed in the late 1960s, these beautiful pieces are each mounted on a solid wood recessed pedestal base. Rare, as each is very compact with ample storage. Each unit has 2 sliding doors with an inset teak handle running vertically down each door. The storage area has a finished interior and one adjustable and removable shelf. Beautiful grain pattern and stunning deep rich colour. These Mid-Century teak storage cabinets are awesome in a foyer as a place for keys and your phone or use it in your living room as a media cabinet. You could also have it as your sideboard in the dining room. So Incredibly rare to find 2 matching units.
